Live History with Educational Programs
Field Trips • Homeschool • Summer Programs
Virtual • Scout Programs • High School Volunteer
Educational Programs at the Old Davie School provide an up-close, hands-on experience that brings the story of the Everglades frontier to life. The Old Davie School educational programs can be adapted to meet the needs of your group, and welcome public and private schools, homeschool groups and civic organizations.
For assistance with funding, ask your school about the School Board of Broward County’s Supplemental Arts and Sciences Program (SASP). Groups are welcome to bring their bag lunches and eat at the outdoor picnic tables or under the Chickee Hut after the tour. The gift shop, located in the Museum Office, is available to student groups by request.
All programs are designed to meet the Florida Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.
“As teachers, we enjoyed the overall experience and watching our students excitement as things taught in our classrooms came to life for them.”
“The curriculum that was taught was relevant and informative. Every activity was a learning opportunity.”
“My students are studying historical Florida, and having an experience like this really helps them understand what it was like back then.”
